The Powers of Peppermint

Being “pedi-ready” come sandal season is a must. But beyond that, summer warrants a little extra TLC for our soles. While summer appears to be lazy days on the river soaking up sun (SPF-protected, of course), think about the extra walking, running and outdoor activities you’re able to squeeze in on those warm, long summer days and nights. Our feet just seem to be exhausted at the end of the day.
Worth the extra effort to soothe your soles is a minty massage with J.R. Watkins Peppermint Foot Repair Salve (bonus points if you can convince your spouse/significant other to do the massaging). Our salve provides intense relief for calluses and dry skin. The oil-based salve melts into the skin soothingly and a boost of peppermint oil helps increase circulation, which in turn helps ease pain.
For daytime, prep your feet post-shower with our Peppermint Foot Cream. It will help moisturize your feet and the peppermint aroma is a great start to the day (assuming you’ve had your coffee!)
Take care of those soles this summer and make the most of the season!
Color Your Summer
Summer is sandal season, which also means the population is also paying a bit more attention to feet—and so are we. We can’t get enough of our Natural Peppermint Foot Scrub and Peppermint Rejuvinating Foot Cream for the ultimate DIY pedicure at home. The pure peppermint oil infuses feet with a burst of cool refreshment that is rejuvenating and relaxing. The scrub is also perfect for daily use in the shower (for men too!).

And what’s a good pedicure without a great polish? Season after season, we love Zoya and their selection of eco-friendly polishes. The summertime colors are a team favorite—especially the bright red shade, Sooki.
Are your feet already pedi-ready? Give yourself a little mani and polish your fingernails instead!
How to: Take care of your winter feet
In a couple weeks, everyone is going to start scheduling get-ready-for-summer pedicures. Winters are hard on our feet, and we all want to make sure our feet are sandal-ready for the summer! Before you schedule a pedicure, try some at-home remedies for winter feet.
- Using a buffing block, smooth each nail surface and remove yellow stains.
- After you shower, use JR Watkins Natural Peppermint Foot Scrub to exfoliate and moisturize dry, rough skin.
- File the nails straight across and polish them! Try using a fun spring color like pink or blue.
- Draw the letters of the alphabet in the air with your toes once a day. It will help keep your feet limber and relieve tension in your muscles and tendons.
